Can't load/refresh or unload skins

Hey guys, just downloaded rainmeter the other day and so far it's been really great.

I ran into a bit of a rut though, for some reason in my rainbrowser I can't load or unload any skins. The load/unload button, along with the refresh skin and refresh all skins buttons are grayed out. They flicker randomly but that's about it.

I can edit the settings of the skins currently loaded but I can't remove them or add new ones.

I did a search in the forums to see if someone else had this problem but I've yet to come across a thread with the same issue. I'd really appreciate some help, thanks!

Can you:

1) Post a bit more about your setup. What version of Rainmeter, what version of Windows, did you use the installer or .zip to install Rainmeter? Where is Rainmeter.exe located?

2) Can you post a screenshot of what is going on?

Sure thing.

The version is 1.2
I'm running on windows 7
I used the .zip rainmeter-1.2 64bit
The Rainmeter.exe icon is in program files (C:)

The problem seems to be that both RainBrowser and RainEnv don't think Rainmeter is running:

You do have Rainmeter actually running when you are using RainBrowser right?

Well when I did a few restarts yesterday it did nothing to fix the problem but lo and behold this morning I check and everything is working properly.

I'm a bit confused as to how it happened in the first place but I suppose a little patience would have been the solution to my problem.
