I just recently got Rainmeter, and I'm very happy with it.
However, a few minutes in I loaded a skin with the name Welcome from Gnometer from the RainBrowser, and it completely messed up all of my Gnometer skins. The icons appear to be damaged (missing parts) and the text is unreadable / nonexistant.
Please help...

Re: Gnometer damaged
Could you upload a screenshot?
And I'm not a pro at Rainmeter, but knowing a good deal about software in general, I'd say try running Rainmeter as administrator, and if that doesn't work, then reinstall.
In the off chance that Rainmeter's files are corrupted on your computer, you could try fixing them by running the command prompt as admin and typing chkdsk c: /F and then typing ''y" to restart your comp. This fixed WoW for me a few times

Re: Gnometer damaged
1) Close Rainmeter
2) Go to Documents\Rainmeter\Skins and delete the Gnometer folder
3) Go to Program Files\Rainmeter\Skins, copy the Gnometer folder, and paste it into Documents\Rainmeter\Skins.
4) Open Rainmeter
This is only a temporary solution, I'll fix it for Gnometer 1.3
