How to backup settings & quotereader help

sup guys need some help, this is my current desktop



using this skin and having problems changing the quoteread to white

and followed these directions to change the color but its still blue

"Navigate to "<skins path>\Enigma\Resources\Variables\" in explorer and open "UserVariables.inc" with notepad.
Find the following lines:
Color1= [ This is the author text's colour info; ]
Color2= [ This is the date's/quote's colour info; and ]
Color3= [ This is the quote number's colour info. ]"

if anyone could upload a correct UserVariables.inc to white or tell me indepth how to change this it would be great


and, i've been trying to keep a backup inbetween computers of rainmeter by dragging the contents of the main rainmeter folder and the users/rainmeter folder but still lose my default settings and position of skins. whats the best way to backup settings? thanks much guys!!

To change the colours, I would recommend using the EnigmaConfigure utility which is designed to edit that file. Right click any Rainmeter skin or the tray icon, go to Configs >> Enigma >> Resources >> Configuration. In the window which appears find the llines color1, color2 etc. and change all three to 255,255,255,255 once you have changed one select set and then save all once all are done.

To backup your setup you could try using RainBackup which is included with the 1.2 RC available here. That should save all the files you need.

everything was already set as 255,255,255,255
i didnt create a start menu group for rainmeter so where can i find the backup tool?

As long as you have the RC and installed it in the default location it should be in Program Files>Rainmeter>Addons>RainBackup.

As for the color, try refreshing the skin or restarting Rainmeter. If that doesnt work post the contents of the skin here using code tags.
