I can't change the fonts. :(

Post by Luhpet »

Hello there people! I'm new to the Rainmeter, and I'm having a lot of fun with it too. The only problem is, I can't seem to change the fonts. I can only change the fonts to either Tahoma or Arial. :(

I want to change most of my fonts to this
And I the skin/s I want to change is the VertDate from BentSkin.

I really need help.

~Luhp.

[Edit] I also want to change some other skins with this font.

FontFace=Bleeding Cowboys

Works for me. Have you restarted Rainmeter since installing the font?

Hmm, it worked but, there's something wrong with it with the BentSkin. But, I think I'll just sttick with it.

Oh, I tried it with Arista 2.0, it says it can't create it when I restart Rainmeter. :(

open word, chose that font and copy/paste the name of the font from work in the skin
Zero at programing, zero at writing codes, so far 2 at making images
But I'm good at copy/paste, and I not always like this

open Microsoft word, from the box from where you select the font name chose that font copy it's name
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

It didn't work for Arista. It worked for Bleeding Cowboys.
I also found a better font, It doesn't seem to work. Can you try it?
It's this one.
Mind if you try Arista 2.0 too? ^^;;

It is working Everyday Ghost it is the name of the font

Arista 2.0 it working too

try use them as Local Font
LocalFont
Allows a skin author to include fonts with the skin without forcing the end user to install the fonts in \Windows\Fonts.

LocalFont=[path]FilenameOfFont.ttf | .otf
LocalFont2=[path]FilenameOfFont.ttf | .otf
Continue for as many as needed

Example:
[Rainmeter]
LocalFont=#PROGRAMPATH#Fonts\TheSaBdCp.ttf

[MeterName]
Meter=STRING
FontFace=TheSansBold-Caps

Note that while it is suggested that the font reside in C:\Program Files\Rainmeter\Fonts to reduce duplication of fonts on a user's system, the font can be in any folder and any valid Windows path can be used with LocalFont. Also be aware that the filename of a font is almost never the same as the fontface name used in the FontFace= statement. It is the skin author's repsonsibility to ensure the correct FontFace name is used.
