So like this:

Code: Select all

[Rainmeter]
Update=1000
DynamicWindowSize=1
AccurateText=1

[Variables]

[MeasureAudio]
Measure=Plugin
Plugin=Win7AudioPlugin

[MeterOutput]
Meter=String
FontSize=11
FontWeight=400
FontColor=255,255,255,255
SolidColor=47,47,47,255
Padding=5,5,5,5
AntiAlias=1
Text=The device [MeasureAudio] is at a volume of [MeasureAudio:]%
DynamicVariables=1

So in the String meter [MeasureAudio] is getting the string value and [MeasureAudio:] is getting the number value.

So you mean it returns the device name, not necessarily "Speakers"
That answered that then! :rofl:
I didn't realise that was actually a device name!

<RTFM>

Uhm... Right. I would suggest that the docs are crystal clear on this...

https://docs.rainmeter.net/manual/plugins/win7audio/

We have gone to some lengths to make the documentation accurate, clear, and complete. While they will always be imperfect, I don't think it benefits anyone to ignore them when trying to write skins.

The way I do it is to always have the manual and the forum pinned in the browser when working with Rainmeter:

Easy access, all the time, just some clicks away. ;-)

P.S. On Chrome (don't know about Firefox), this has the advantage of keeping your hypothetically unfinished post text in cache, safe from refreshing the page when selecting the tab after a longer absence from the computer, or even computer sleep. In case the interval is even longer and I got logged out automatically, CTRL + A and copying the message before previewing or posting ensures you don't lose what you've written.
