wifistatus.dll cant find my wireless interface adapter

Post by TRSyntax »

Hi.

I just bought myself a new 'wifi card' and im trying to get the wifistatus.dll plugin to find my wireless interface adapter but without luck. no matter what skin i use, the values rainmeter gets form the wifistatus plugin is just displayed as "0" ...

I've read in the rainmeter introduction that the wifistatus plugin "may / may not include bluetooth/infrared receivers"
I've got two bluetooth adapters on at all time. theese are external. sometimes i've got three, maybe even four bluetooth adapters 'onboard' ...

I have tried to change the "WifiIntfID=" from 1 through 99 without any result :(

Code: Select all

[MeasureQuality]
Measure=Plugin
Plugin=Plugins\WifiStatus.dll
WifiInfoType=QUALITY
WifiIntfID=0
WifiListStyle=0
Im using latest beta of rainmeter (v1.2 r365 at this time)
Im running Win XP SP3 Build 1.511.1

tested after clean install of rainmeter.

my new wireless network adapter is a GIGABYTE LAN card (Gigabyte GN-WP30N 802.11n PCI-E)

what am i missing here? :?

I don't think, therefore I'm not.

I would also try turning off all wireless devices (ie bluetooth, etc.) except for your new card. That way it's the only one it can possibly see.
Just a thought...

i thought about disabling them but then i need to get a hold of an usb keybord and mouse first :roll: all my HID interface is bluetooth :-)

hmm. i just installed samurize to check if the same problem occurred and it did...
