This should give you the desired results... :thumbup:

Because you had 'illustro clock' in the title, most replies thought you were using the original code, so those solutions would not correct for changes you made... sorry again for overlooking, but you threw us all a "curve" by siting a specific skin! :?

Well, that is what it's called in the Manager (refer to image). The only mod to the ini file I can recall making is adding the shadow from same titled (v1) post here: https://forum.rainmeter.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=28119&p=146145&hilit=illustro+Clock#p146145

I also recall asking for help in altering the time display but I could not locate the thread. oh well ...

Well, somewhere along the line you made quite a few changes... :Whistle

illustro (original) clock code displays this...
illustroclockoriginal.png
While the code you posted show this...
illustroclockyours.png
Here is the original clock code.

Code: Select all

; Lines starting ; (semicolons) are commented out.
; That is, they do not affect the code and are here for demonstration purposes only.
; ----------------------------------

; ----------------------------------

[measureTime]
; This measure returns the time in a 24-hour format (i.e. HH:MM).
Measure=Time

; For a 12-hour clock, change the Format option above to: %I:%M %p
; Refer to the Rainmeter manual for other format codes.

[measureDate]
; Returns the date as DD.MM.YYYY
Measure=Time
Format=%d.%m.%Y

[measureDay]
; Returns the current day
Measure=Time

; contents of the [styleTitle] section here during runtime.
MeasureName=measureTime
X=100

Text=%1

[meterSeperator]
Meter=Image
MeterStyle=styleSeperator

yes - and you read my mind because I was going to ask how the original appeared. Thx for the original code, but I prefer mine ...more info and smaller footprint(only text), no background/total transparent and shadow text for good visibiliity against a white background. Hey! Since you say, "you completely changed the illustro clock code", maybe I should rename and present it as 'my' very first skin?

"Make some noise!" ... There would be nothing stopping you from publishing your clock!

illustro's code has a Creative Commons license, so as long as you use the same license and credit parts of it to illustro by including a modified Metadata section, it's legit.

Replace the current [Metadata] section with something like this:

Code: Select all

[Metadata]
; Contains basic information of the skin.
Name=Clock2
Author=MourningStar
Information=Displays the current date and time. Portions based on illustro clock by poiru
License=Creative Commons BY-NC-SA 3.0
Version=1.0.0
Glad you have it working the way you wanted.
