Skins disappear when pressing win+D or "show desktop" button

Post by Simplemathic »

I have a layered visualizer setup with the following skins:

Monstercat Visualizer: https://www.deviantart.com/marcopixel/art/Monstercat-Visualizer-for-Rainmeter-486330771
A custom Layer1 skin based on this video: https://youtu.be/mldgS_93ctc
And a ModifiedHoneycomb: https://mega.nz/#!VqIQyA5T!TMKqrxORTlDtrOHKzU_qvjAgrCsfSeI51M6Q_ZTQkpY

When I'm on the desktop after starting my pc, everything works just perfectly. However, when I press the "show desktop" (the right-most button on the taskbar) the Monstercat and Layer1 skins just vanish - Honeycomb stays in its place.
After pressing the button again OR opening any window, they appear again.

This is very irritating as when I have some windows opened and want to return to the desktop, I arrive with no visualizer and no layer present.

This is what it looks like when it's working:

And this is what happens when I do the things I said:
Untitled.png
(It's pretty the same and look like I just turned the music off, but the visualizer and the layer are actually just not appearing)

And at this point, I really don't know why the Honeycomb works at all...

What's causing this?

For me skins hide on win+D only when its position is set to "Bottom" in skin Manager.
Try changing position value and check if it helps.

Thank you! :D Yeah, I forgot to mention that the two problematic skins are both set as Bottom while the working Honeycomb was Normal, so I set them to Normal and now everything works!
