I'd be interested if I could understand the link and how it works, if any of you can share your links that'd be great...
Google "Weather" and right click on the widget's icon you got (Biggest icon that shows the current, not the later icons) then click inspect, and share the link of the image if you will.

Re: Parsing/Downloading Weather Icons...
yea, so the "64" is the pixels of the image... 48 the smaller one. only variable looks like it's the last word.jsmorley wrote:https://ssl.gstatic.com/onebox/weather/64/cloudy.png

Yes, but I resist that there is any direct correlation between the conditions "text", which can be anything, and I have seen hundreds of variations, and the name of the icon.kyriakos876 wrote:yea, so the "64" is the pixels of the image... 48 the smaller one. only variable looks like it's the last word.

Re: Parsing/Downloading Weather Icons...
A possible solution would be to upload the icons with no names (sunny, fair or so on), but with the appropriate numbers, as those numbers are in a downloaded config.
Not sure it worth anyway...
At least if I didn't misunderstood something. Maybe I did?

Well, there has to be some short of correlation... I mean, so far these work:jsmorley wrote:Yes, but I resist that there is any direct correlation between the conditions "text", which can be anything, and I have seen hundreds of variations, and the name of the icon.
But sure, when it comes to direct correlation, it's already disproved... Mine says Clear with periodic clouds and the icon is sunny_s_cloudySunny
sunny_s_cloudy
Cloudy
Snow
Thunderstorms
Windy
rain
hot
typhoon
sleet

1)I don't think I can upload icons forever somewhere and share them.
2)I think it's more convenient if you want to update the icons you just change the ones hosted already in a link (if I own the link, in this case is up to google obviously when they update the icons)
3)Less size for the skin?

I'm not sure if you can or can't. I never tried a such thing.kyriakos876 wrote:1)I don't think I can upload icons forever somewhere and share them.
Here you probably are right...kyriakos876 wrote:2)I think it's more convenient if you want to update the icons you just change the ones hosted already in a link (if I own the link, in this case is up to google obviously when they update the icons)
Again you probably are right. But don't think it worth.kyriakos876 wrote:3)Less size for the skin?

Re: Parsing/Downloading Weather Icons...
Is there any chance that you have a "dictionary" for icon numbers in from this site " https://weather.com/" ? I want to know for example Icon 0 corresponds to sunny... etc.balala wrote:I'm not sure if you can or can't. I never tried a such thing.
