Hey guys,
So I'm trying to set up a custom rainmeter desktop, modifying a few skins to suit my needs. However, I've run into a problem;
Almost all rainmeter skins for Weather are using the same API; wxdata.weather.com. That API has a problem, where "current" weather simply isn't shown for many locations (Basically anything outside the larger cities). So, all those skins look kinda bad, as there's a big hole where you'd normally have a big icon:
So what I'm hoping for help with, is either A) a workaround someone might've found for this, or B) any Weather skin with 3-5 day forecasting that doesn't use this API.
Anyone got any great ideas?

The problem that you have reported,appears when the weather station does not provide information about the current weather condition (overcast, rain, cloudy .....)Fureniku wrote:Hey guys,

Go to http://www.foreca.com, and enter your location.
If the current weather condition is displayed and you are satisfied, you can use one of my Weather skins https://www.deviantart.com/xxenium/gallery/

Hmm, that site and your skin suffer the same problem it seems. I think my only option here is to modify a skin to use my closest working weather station for current conditions (which is about 20 miles away, so won't be hugely accurate but at least "close") and my closest actual station for everything else.xenium wrote:The problem that you have reported,appears when the weather station does not provide information about the current weather condition (overcast, rain, cloudy .....)

I'm assuming that's how Yahoo and Weather.com must work; they're apparently using the WXData API but can show current conditions for my location, so they must be using a secondary weather station for the current conditions I assume?
At least Foreca.com showed me a list of weather stations in order of distance for me, so I don't have to poke hundreds of stations to find the working one
