Also and in case you haven't seen it, as I mentioned on my previous post's latest edit, your skin doesn't execute the editor either for me; even after moving it to a path without weird characters.

4.0.0.2746, which should be the latest if "Check for updates" is properly working.

No, that is a really old version... #CONFIGEDITOR# is not supported in that.

https://www.rainmeter.net/

4.1 Final Release - r2989

Or even better:

4.2 Beta Release - r3043

Just updatest to the latest stable release and it's now working.

Any idea why the updates check might not be working?

Unless you have it turned off in Settings, it should, although it is by design not very much "in your face" about it.

What you will get is an "Update available" notification at the top of the context menu.

P.S. All of our releases are "stable"... ;-)

I'm pretty sure I'd noticed that. Might it have anything to do with the installation being portable? Though I'm pretty sure I used to get told when there were updates in the past.

In any case, as always, thanks for the quick support.

I pasted you my Rainmeter.ini contents a few posts ago :).
As you can see, nothing regarding update's in there. The rest of the file contents are just skin settings.

Also, the "Check for updates" checkbox's always been checked.

Well, dunno then. Maybe we had an issue with the update checking way back in the paleolithic version 4.0.0 pre-history. Things have been better since we learned to bang the rocks together. Hopefully it will work for you going forward.
