Rainmeter and Blackbox Workspaces

Post by jumi »

Hello! I've crated a pretty simple now playing skin to blend in with my Blackbox bar.

As some of you may or may not know, Blackbox is a shell that can run on top of Explorer and it manages your windows, along with other functionalities. One of them is to add multiple workspaces (I'm on Windows 7, and that's a feature that was only added with Windows 10).

The problem is that I can't keep the skin in the same place through multiple workspaces. If I enable "Keep on screen" it won't actually snap to the edges of the screen because of some sort of invisible edge. This fixes the problem of being shown in multiple workspaces, however, it will move to other side of the screen and come back to its original place after a mouse hover.

Is there any way to keep its position absolute?

Here are some example shots:

the skin working as intended

when enabling "keep on screen", it won't move past that point to the right edge

and when changing workspaces, it will move to the other side and, interestingly, it won't actually move past that point to the left edge, too
