Can't get iTunes to work with rainmeter

Ok after hours of searching through these forums and google i still haven't been able to solve my problem. it's a relatively simple problem, rainmeter isn't picking up information from itunes, not even the default Enigma music skin. I have no idea what is wrong! I tried moving the plugin folder around, moving the itunesplugin.dll around, moving the location of the skin around, editing the .ini file and nothing works!!

from my searching around i've found that im not the only one with this problem but nobody has ever come up with a solution. let's try to finally solve this. and for all i know, the problem could just be something facepalm-ingly simple.

i'm running vista 32-bit and have the latest rainmeter build, itunes 9.0. yes im running rainmeter as admin.

You shouldn't have to move anything around. By "rainmeter latest build" do you mean 1.0 or the latest beta build r223?
