Probably not I'm afraid. From the manual:

Proxy
Name of the proxy server. The plugin doesn't support any authentication so it's possible to use only servers that does not require it or you need a some different way to authenticate yourself to the proxy server.

It takes the proxy from IE settings, I have no problem using those, that is all that i know
Zero at programing, zero at writing codes, so far 2 at making images
But I'm good at copy/paste, and I not always like this

So the actual plugin does suport proxy but not with usernames & password authentification?
how would one setup the use of just a normal proxy server?

also just out of interst does this weather code seem right : AFR|ZA|SF002|GRAHAMSTOWN ?
all the ones i have seen before have been numbers....

Correct. I am hosting it due to the fact that a function I use is not supported on the server rainmeter.net is on.

To set the proxy in windows xp or vista you can use the command "proxycfg /?" under a cmd dos box.

You can see or import proxy settings from IE or set a system proxy (netsh winhttp)
