From !RainmeterShowMeter I can guess that it's from around a very very old time, like pre-historic Rainmeter age. I wouldn't recommend editing it.

If you want to replicate it and make another skin, you can try that by learning the Ways of Rainmeter. And we are are here to help you with that.

So you can start from the very beginning of this thread.

As death.crafter wrote, this Yahoo-based skin is ancient history. If you want to bring it to life again, Eclectic-Tech created a set of templates you can drop in to create/re-create a Yahoo-based weather skin. Get is here: Yahoo.com - weather.com alternative.

You'd be much better off rebuilding this skin to use weather.com. Yahoo is a really crappy weather source now; they only update their weather every hour (at a minimum), whereas TWC updates every 10-15 minutes. So Yahoo weather is wildly out of sync with reality. Your best option is using JSMorley's TWC templates here: Weather.com - Parsing the V3 JSON - NEW!.

Eclectic-Tech created a step-by-step guide on how to use the templates (Yahoo or TWC) to build a weather skin: Step-by-Step Basic Weather Skin Tutorial. You can use the guide to retrofit your skin to use the new templates.

Actually, bar the tutorial, I did mention both variants here, but, you know... didn't get any feedback that they were checked out, not to mention that at the moment the request was about replacing other icons.

I'll try showing some basic "beginning" to what such a rebuild would look like, now that the OP actually knows which skin he wants to use (this was an unknown quantity up until now, with about 3 or 4 skins being potential candidates).

Rainmeter version 0.14.15474 (sorry, that was another skin having the same name, version 1.2), to be precise... :Whistle

Hi death.crafter

yes it is a old ini.file
If you want to replicate it and make another skin, you can try that by learning the Ways of Rainmeter
Belive me, i have spend many of times try to understand this matter, but no chance.

A good friend has try to explain me this to understand, but i don´t understand this, it is to complicated for me like Mathematik.

There are enough Weather skin, but not with the same weather icons, and that is the reason, why i would like to use this old Skin.

And start a new weather ini.file with the old weather icons, that is out of my imagination, because i don´t understand this matter.

i hope you understand, it is not easy for me, and who has time to slove this problem, most of us are busy, and they have private life too.

I've described the retro-fitting process elsewhere (I forget where), but it essentially boils down to:
1. Add the @Include=... line for the template(s).
2. Delete all the existing WebParser measures and any other measures that depend on them.
3. Replace all references in the meters to the new template measures.

The final exercise can be to create a new "location picker" skin or re-skin the one in the template project to match the look of the existing suite being retrofitted. Retro-fitting actually fairly simple and quick (comparatively) once you get familiar with it thanks to the templating technique.

1. Add the @Include=... line for the template(s).
2. Delete all the existing WebParser measures and any other measures that depend on them.
3. Replace all references in the meters to the new template measures.

Precisely, that was what I was thinking as well. Throw a couple of measure reference replacements to show how it's done. The location picker is not an issue, editing the variables file is easier in this case.

As it happens the same is true for us.

We really don't remake skins. Helping you remake it as far as we would go.

No offense though. If it were some other clock skin we would have considered.

But weather? I haven't made a single one in my Rainmeter history. The reason being, it needs a lot of work, and it changes, a lot.
Other being, I can just look out of the window :rolmfao:
But that's just some of us. Someone may try to do it. Wait till then. :great:
