Server monitoring

Post by human374 »

Hi!

I have 2 servers at home and I would like to monitor them using rainmeter (average cpu usage, temperature, storage, network).
My company has many restrictions, so I can only use http and https here..

Do you have any ideas how could I solve this securely?
I was thinking something like RSS feed.

Check out HWiNFO; it can monitor remote machines, but it does not use HTTP or HTTPS. If it works for you, then you'll need to find some Rainmeter skins that work with the HWiNFO plugin. Most likely you will need to modify them... If you are restricted to port 80/443 only, you are probably going to have to write everything yourself.

HWiNFO supports web access via the Remote Sensor Monitor application downloadable from the HWiNFO website. It makes this available via json string on a definable port.

CoreTemp also has a remote server plugin which provides the same behavior.

Now the good news.
I lied, there isn't any good news...
