Weather.com WXDATA feed failing again

Post by SilverAzide »

Just an FYI for the Rainmeter community....

Similar to last October 2019, I am starting to see a few weather locations failing with the following message being returned from the wxdata URL:

"This service is deprecated as of 01/15/2020"

So far I am only seeing this in a few locations, but just be aware it might be happening elsewhere.

UPDATE... I am now seeing this message in all locations in the US.

Yep. Best to wait a while and see what happens.

Someone had done a skin by scraping the weather.com site. Anyone have a link to that?

{Scrape}{Scrape}{Scrape}

Sadly, that may be our only alternative if TWC is serious about ending the feed...

Congratulations User Xenium! I hate to scrape sites, but you did it in a very smart way! Nice work! :rosegift:

Right. I thought it is something only on my side, but now I see it is a general issue. Last time we have encountered a relatively long pause on weather.com, let's see how long it will be this time (supposing the service will be restored sooner or later - hope so).
