Rainmeter UI Design overhaul

Post by falconwingz »

Hello, I'm a long time Rainmeter user and I have realized this for a long time.
The UI design for managing rainmeter is pretty ugly. Its too old style design.

I would recommend a design similar to Discord, its really sleek, simple, and easy to access anything there.

I will happily donate if rainmeter will start this project. thanks !

The Manage and About interfaces for Rainmeter are focused on being a functional as possible. Sorry, but we just don't have the time, resources, or interest in putting a lot of effort into cosmetics on those. Rainmeter is about the skins, not the simple tools you use to manage it.

Feel free to download the source code, re-design the UI elements, and submit a pull request to our GitHub site though.

I would love to do that, but I have zero skill to do that.
I don't know anything how to do anything with coding.

I would love to though.

May I ask that which tool did you use for the UI design? Mockplus, Axure, or others?

Hand crafted, like a fine beer.
