SketchyWeather

Post by jsmorley »

Based on a request in this thread:

Sketchy MOD for ToxxWeather - is it possible to update?

I have corrected this skin to use the JSON data from https://weather.com

This has both "Glow" and "Black" versions.

Right-Click the skin to edit Weather Variables and set your weather location code and units of measure.

It would all be pretty manual. You would have to change the W and H on Image meters, the FontSize on String meters, and mess with the X and Y of all meters to position them as you like.

Hi there!
Love the look on your weather app. For some reason it isn't working for me (just has an "N/A" where the temperature should be). I know you're not it support, but I wasn't really sure where else to ask.
For location code, I've tried my zipcode (I live in the US), and also the location code from weather.com of both cities I border. I know the wxdata weather doesn't work because of the sourcing, but weather.com seems to be up. I've also double-checked that rainmeter isn't being blocked by firewall.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong or missing?
Thank you!

Updated to use the new V3 version of the JSON code from weather.com.

So the update yesterday fixed the skin but I can't seem to get Celsius to work anymore. I tried a couple different language variants and they all return Fahrenheit. I could very well just be dumb but I thought I'd check to see if I was the only one having this issue

Right click the skin and select "Edit Weather Variables".

Change the variable for Language to:

Language=en-CA

Save the file and refresh the skin.
