Based on a help discussion user DelosX and I had in this thread: http://rainmeter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=89291#p89291.
I was so pleased with both the idea (from DelosX) and the solution (from me) that I thought I would put it out as a stand-alone skin so folks can use it or modify it for their needs.
Requires the latest beta 3.0 of Rainmeter from http://rainmeter.net
Scroll through a list of any number of folders or applications to launch, using the scroll wheel or by clicking the left and right arrows. The number, labels and paths for the folders or applications can be set by double-clicking the skin and editing the AppVariables.inc file.
