I like having multiple windows at once and that makes Notepad a no-brainer for me. I found Notepad++ to fussy with the colouring, settings and tabs tbh...

I use modified Notepad2 (with code folding and some other small tweaks).
Another change comparing to normal release is my custom dark scheme (Based on obsidian theme though).

Why? Becouse i knew it long time before i even heard of Rainmeter so I'm simply used to it, and I appreciate it's simplicity and yet powerfull enough features.

Another great editor is Sublime Text, especially with MerlinTheRed's Rainmeter Package, which I would recommend to any new user. It makes coding nice and simple.

Speaking of Rainmeter exclusive code highlighting and some other related funcionality, you should take a look also at Notepad++ and poiru's RainLexer plugin

Just try one of these if you haven't already, and you will want to see Standard Windows Notepad burn. :twisted:

Ditto...
Notepad++
RainLexer plugin

Sublime Text looks nice, but a $60 text editor had better make me breakfast in the morning...

Oooh.. Seems like adding another text editor in pool cleared it from votes..

Last time I checked statistics was something like:
Windows Notepad: 1
Notepad2: 1
Notepad++: 8
Sublime Text: 7

But please vote again.. Sorry for inconvenience..
PS. Happy New Year :)

NoteTabPro with a Rainmeter Quickbook, the Rainmeter Manual installed.

Still working on a Syntax highlighter for it, but it works extremely well - highly recommended.
