I assume you turned off "add on update security" and "add on compatibility security" in Firefox? Apparently the "I's" have it!
A the ability to utilize larger Avatars will be set immediately, but as a compromise the new settings will be set to 150 x 150.
In teh settings you will be able to utilize any image up to this size.
If you have an odd setting say: 100 x 150, make sure to set this in your personal settings when loading your Avatar
