Might be Winamp related issue. The skin shows track numbers for my player AIMP.

Might be, but the documentation says Winamp is fully supported as AIMP is !!

I'm using the latest Winamp 5.8 build 3660, and track numbers work fine for me.
That's assuming of course that the .mp3 file you are playing has track number in the ID3 tags.
