[Bug] Rainmeter doesn't start normally after reinstallation
Posted: July 9th, 2018, 10:58 pm
Hi there.
After attempting to update to the newest version, I used the uninstaller to remove the old version of Rainmeter before downloading the new version. Everything went well while uninstalling, but after running the new version I get an error message:
"There are no available skins at: C:\Users\MYNAME\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\"
Nothing loads on my desktop, however my computer shows Rainmeter is still running in the Task Manager and I can still open the program from the taskbar. I created a 'Skins' folder and any existing skins from my old version seem to work, but any new skins I try to download simply take too long and I have to force close the Skin Installer program. No skin is downloaded.
Any help is appreciated! Thank you.
