[Suggestion] Line Gradients

Post by benjam »

I am trying to make a skin that has something that looks similar to a comet tail, with the end near the start of the arc line being bright white, and the other end of the arc line being transparent black.

With linear gradients, I can get close to this as long as the arc does not travel more than 180 degrees around the circle, but if it travels more than that, I get weird artifacts near the ends where they don't match up.

I'd like a feature where either a non-closed line or arc can have a gradient along its entire length that doesn't rely on a linear gradient, so it can backtrack without repeating portions of the gradient.

Thanks.
Look at me still talking when there's Science to do.
