Re: Rainmeter Crashes on Startup
Actually, looks like Rainmeter was running fine until the Now Playing skin killed it. I see 3 skins at least that started up OK, so it's not all a Rainmeter issue. Get rid of the Now Playing one and see if the crashing continues.

What is this .dmp file? What should we do with it? What does it contain?deadpocketss wrote:Stable release crashed upon opening. Installed Beta with the same result. .dmp file attached.

Re: Rainmeter Crashes on Startup
I agree with dvo and SilverAzide, that you probably have a corrupt (or defective) skin that is causing the crash.
To get Rainmeter working so you can determine what is causing the crash, I would:
1.) Delete 'rainmeter.ini' file from your "%appdata%\Roaming\Rainmeter" folder for standard installation (or it will be in your portable installation folder)
2.) Exit and restart Rainmeter
3.) On restart, the default illustro skins will load
4.) Now start loading your skins, one at a time, to see which one causes the crash
It is suspicious that your player skin is showing 'Fetching...', but it may be some other skin that is failing.
Hope this helps

Re: Rainmeter Crashes on Startup
Thanks for the help. I'll give Eclectic-tech's suggestion a try.
The one is showing fetching.. because it fetches the song/artist data from Spotify.
EDIT:
It was the music player skin. Guess it finally got outdated, I found a new one though and everything is working peachy.
Thanks everyone.
