I stumbled upon a review of Rainmeter on CNET just now which was very favourable http://download.cnet.com/Rainmeter-32bit/3000-2072_4-10965255.html#rateit

But there was one comment about a possible virus
Summary: My anti-virus shows this as a Trojan( http://www.f-secure.com/sw-desc/dialer_w32_generic.shtml )...Trojan.Generic.1355243
I don't know if that one was ever mentioned before, I only remember the problems coming from Avast with a false positive.

Anyways, I thought that maybe one of the admins or developers or someone registered there here could post an explanation there so that people won't be scared off from downloading Rainmeter.

It did at one time http://rainmeter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1976&hilit=avast until Avast fixed their problem once Rainmeter notified them.
