My first skin...Equinox

Post by DanielPodo »

So finally, after a few months of tinkering, I've managed to create my first skin. It's not really a skin from scratch...I technically took a pre-made skin, took it apart and remade it in my image, with a few tweaks here and there. That said, it was a great learning experience, and I will now start work on my own skin from scratch...stay tuned :D

For now though, please enjoy my current creation...Equinox (couldn't think of a cooler name tbh  )

Since the skin contains a .wav file that is too large to put in to the rms file itself, I've attached the .rms separately (see below) and I've simply whacked the .wav file onto my mediafire account, so just click the link below to get it. Otherwise you won't be able to enjoy the credits skin in its full glory :D

Please let me know what you guys think, and feel free to rip the code apart to see if there are any amateur mistakes!!! Thanks!!!!

UPDATE - Equinox 1.1

- removed the "arrows.png" file
- removed the arrows meter and replaced it with a string meter based on the wingdings font, allowing for colour changes to be applied to the arrow as well
- fixed a typo in the readme skin

YIKES! ... a 92 MB file!! :o

I was curious what was in it, to have it be so large... aha! music!

I would reconsider including the 95mb wav file in your rmskin :uhuh: ... if someone really wants it, offer it as a separate download.

Still... nice work on the style! :welcome:

Yeaaa....tbh I've started noticing bugs just now that I'll have to update haha! So I'll definitely reupload the file and this time I'll not include the .wav file.

You might need to grab the Foobar plugin, found here: https://poiru.github.io/foo-cad/

Nice. I'm gonna be trying this one. It's been a long time since I last used Rainmeter. Feels good to be back. :)
