Is the RainGlass Settings.inc noob friendly ?

This an interesting question, and until you asked, I would not have considered it.

Looking from a Beta tester point of view (That being of I know nothing at all), the immediate answer is NO.

Strictly because these things are new.
the .inc, the @include, etc
These are new, and we have had the advantage to work with these items, where up until a few days ago the general end user has not.
In time, it will be Rainmeter general knowledge, and should not be shied away from in it's use.
With use comes familiarity

Otherwise this is great :thumbsu:

I think this is a great suite of skins. I think the issue of the "newness" of @Include (and for that matter the newness of Meterstyle and Dynamic Variables) can easily be addressed with some comments at the top of new skins pointing out the new things and maybe a line or two about what they do and how they work.

Actually I was wondering if a new RM user should have troubles to edit the Settings.inc file.

Is it to difficult to change things, is it explained enouch, should they know what they have to insert or what has NOT to be changed/removed ?

I don't think a new user has to deal with @includes and/or file extentions yet.
They want skins that work and easy to setup

The skin development will come in a later stadium and therefor they have a manual, this forum and you guys.

I want my skin to be for everyone, not only the die hard users.

I better understand...

Let me check into one or two things and get back to you over the next couple of days.

I will have to uninstall, and start over completely from scratch, but it is how I investigate new skins. ;)

I'm not shure I understand what you want.

-Do you want to use only the RainPlayer ?
Thats easy, you only have to select rainplayer.ini and leave the others unchecked.

-Do you want ME to use VistaRainmeterSidebar ?
Sorry, besides the SUPERCOLOSSAL skin, I have not seen any skin I would like to have.
I prefer to use my own (ugly) skin creations, It gives me more satisfaction.

-Do you want me to make a RainPlayer for the VistaRainmeterSidebar ?
I could do that, but I prefer you ask the original author.
I don't think I will be proud of what I do, as VistaRainmeterSidebar is not my creation.
And if I make it for you, who will follow and for what skin/theme.

Try to make/modify it yourself, it is really, REALLY not that difficult.
And the beauty of Rainmeter, the feeling you get when you use and see what you made.

Give it a try.

No i don´t mean that, it was only information, what kind of sidebar i use.

I like your skin, but i was searching so long for a sidebar, and one day i found the VistaRainmetersidebar, the first time my problem was with the Weather informations, thanks god GM helped me with that ( thanks again for your help GM :-) )

Later i have tried to change the Background of the Weather, well i learn but slowly you see :-) ( in German we say : hab zwei linke Hände dafür ;-) )

They are Two problems :
1. With the Buttons (no idea how to make it with a paint programm)
(your Buttons are big enough for the sidebar, but the questions is, would you allwed me to use your Buttons ? )
2. only 30% - 50% of the ini.file i have understood :-(

i hope you can help me to realize this winamp player, i need only a few step by step info.

Thank you very much in advance for your help, and sorry for my bad english .
