Yeah, suffice to say, there are a lot of people who put a huge amount of time and effort into this release. I've honestly never seen the team working this hard. I'm enormously proud of and grateful to everyone who's contributed. :)

Just have to say that I LOVE the new site. Any chance of seeing a matching theme for the forum?

This is the song that never ends. It just goes on and on my friends. Some people started singing it not knowing what it was, and they'll continue singing it forever just because . . .

HUGE thanks and congrats to all who contributed! :great:

With all the highly desired additions and improvements included in this release, I halfway expected to see the final version number bumped to 2.5 or even 3.0. The new site looks really nice, too (What's on your desktop? YARRR! :p).

Downloads are averaging about 12,500 per day, which we are quite proud of. Rainmeter has come a long way, both functionally and in terms of popularity in the last year. Just wanted to take this opportunity to say how much fun it is hanging out here with all our friends in the Rainmeter Community!

Rainmeter 2.2 will be even more popular with the translations :D . The translation of the manuel would great for those who don't speak english.

At this time, we do not intend to translate the main site, manual or other documentation. Aside from the staggering amount of work involved in any initial translation(s) of that amount of information, we have issues with resources to host multiple versions, Keeping them up to date with weekly beta releases of Rainmeter would be literally impossible, and any translation is bound to introduce errors and make supporting our users here in the forums impossible. We have no intention of "balkanizing" our forums (and thus our "community") by having areas for help for different languages, we must use English here so everyone benefits from questions and the answers. So all help here will be in English, referencing text from the English manual. Translated versions of the manual can only cause confusion and errors.

Also, don't forget that all the commands, keywords and options MUST be in English, as that is what the application uses, and there is no, I repeat no chance that any "localization" of the application other than the display strings we are doing now would ever happen, as it breaks compatibility for existing skins. So "translating" the manual would in any case be a herculean task, requiring a high level of knowledge about the inner workings of Rainmeter so that no commands or keywords are translated along with instructions.

We recommend that folks view the manual through Google Translate if they want to get it in their language. There are going to be translation "problems" with that too, but it will on balance probably be as good as any other.
