Normally I would not post this topic here, but I consider this to be a huge opportunity, and I think the more folks that participate in the vote, the better.
LifeHacker has just tipped of that Ubuntu is taking a pole directly for suggestions regard third party and windows run software (paid or otherwise)!!!!

This is an opportunity for our community, indeed all people, to vote to have Ubuntu take notice of Rainmeter directly.
Will it succeed...Who knows, but a vote can not hurt, and it may ultimately lead to a Rainmeter for all distros.
As many know...If Ubuntu adopts it, every distro jumps to it

Not a Linux user myself yet but I voted. Might mention you have to "write in" Rainmeter at the bottom of the Survey.
