You will need the latest 1.3 beta build from here: http://rainmeter.net as it has the new routines Patrick from Dexpot, JameAC and I worked on to allow an external app to query Rainemeter for information about a particular skin.
One you have Rainmeter installed, get this skin:
Play around with it. You NEED to set the "Position" of the skin to "Bottom" so the map won't go behind it... I'm still working on some Z-Pos issues. Try dragging and double clicking on the map, set your own locations and map types. Also, try dragging the skin itself..

P.S. the artifacts when the skin is being dragged is just due to compression I did on the flash .swf, doesn't really happen on your screen.

Instead of screwing around with z-pos, just change the size of the skin and give it an X position. Make the background the same width as the area with text and just move it over. Even though there's technically nothing at (0,0) it doesn't change where the skin actually starts.jsmorley wrote:Play around with it. Re: Give RainMap a try...
True, and that did occur to me, but while that solution works for this skin, it won't always be the best answer. I'm sure there is a way to force the autoit (since it now has the window handle of the skin) to "know" it's ZPos in relationship to the skin and manage it as desired. Just haven't tumbled onto it yet. Just as with Rainmeter, I can force "top" and "really really top" and such, but have not yet found a way to say "on top of xx" or "forward one level".Alex2539 wrote:Instead of screwing around with z-pos, just change the size of the skin and give it an X position. Just tried it and it's working fine for me. Windows XP SP3
You should do a RainInput that's automatically moving, too.

Line 3886 in RainMap.exe
Error: Array variable subscript badly formated.
