Would it be possible to grab the average color of just the wallpaper image, as apposed to everything being displayed at the time?

I'm kinda confused by this addon. I'm running fwonk clock, simple sentence, and circular calendar. I currently have a mostly red wallpaper as you can see, and my font is white, since that shows up best. I like to change my wallpaper manually a few times a month and obviously white is not going to work best for all of these backgrounds. Will this addon change the font colors for all of these skins I'm running? How do I get it to work?
