Re: Weather Alternatives
i know them, they use to provide data for this site http://www.meteo.ro/index.php, i manage to parse the mobile one, the only problem is remains that site provides weather only for romaniatru wrote:In my browsing I came across these guys...http://www.intellicast.com/content/

now the above site takes data from customweather.com
but both ask for money
Zero at programing, zero at writing codes, so far 2 at making images
But I'm good at copy/paste, and I not always like this

Re: Weather Alternatives
An offshoot of the NOAA Site, ADDS may or may not work for international airports...
http://weather.aero/dataserver/metars/MetarsXMLOutput.php
http://weather.aero/dataserver_current/httpparam?dataSource=metars&requestType=retrieve&format=xml&stationString=PHTO&hoursBeforeNow=1
Change PHTO to the 4 letter identifier of your local airport(or closest) and change the number on the end for how many hours of data you want...
This is the only one I cold find that returns ceilings(cloud bases) It;s also a little more accurate. No relative humidity though...
I made a simple metar feed to my desktop... now I'm gonna start in on making different images for different flight meteorological conditions.(Visual/Instrument;Cloudy/sunny)

Yes, pretty much all weather skins do exactly that using the WebParser.dll plugin.

I suppose what I meant to say was, has someone who knows what they're doing done that, and if not, can they?poiru wrote: Yes, pretty much all weather skins do exactly that using the WebParser.dll plugin.

Oh, he knew what you were asking. But nobody here does "requests" for skins. We all had to learn Rainmeter, so will you.

Fair enough. I'll guess I'll stick with tweaking the ABP skin for a while. Parsing Weatherbug's RSS feed seems a little daunting right now.jsmorley wrote:Oh, he knew what you were asking. But nobody here does "requests" for skins. We all had to learn Rainmeter, so will you.

Re: Weather Alternatives
For weather alternatives I found http://www.meteogroup.com. My new weather skin is almost done but I need few things to improve it.
If You could find better maps: World (wind, temperature), Country (temperature) and World Time Map, that will help.
Please post any sugestion to add more details to my skin.
First Version (only AccuWeather)
If You can make it work faster please help me
