I'm knocking up a weather meter for Australia (global weather services are usually way-off for some reason) using the Australin BOM: http://www.bom.gov.au

i do not quite see a rss feed in there
Zero at programing, zero at writing codes, so far 2 at making images
But I'm good at copy/paste, and I not always like this

I'll also try weather.com since weatherbug just gave me the server too busy message

most skins are based on weather.com and AccuWeather.com feed

RSS feed of the bom.gov.au data is available here http://users.on.net/~johnson/weather/

Are there any good guides on how to use this data in a weather skin?

look around here for a skin made by jsmorley, you will find the icons in that skin,
