Simple 10 foot hud mod for wunderground (idea was bounced 'round these parts before)
Great for 'current wx' conditions.

In my endeavors to bring you the latest information in regards to this thread's conversation.

I have been receiving updates from various outlets and this is a big one.

World Weather On-Line actually responded to the information I posted to them in the initial post on this thread

Here is an e-mail I received in response to the original article I wrote in the initial post (abridged):
>>The free service is a bit more, but still limited.
What more weather elements are you looking for to be included in the free service?

>> There are some caveats, in as much as you must prove a link to their site
Not necessary. If we could agree on some sort of traffic sharing or some other promotion method then you do not require to place a link back. Many of our free feeds are used on mobile applications and we exempt them as they promote us in other ways.

>> For a full information feed, this is pricey in the extreme, as other services can provide more for less
Our pricing is lowest in the market. From as low as $10 per month. So if you are looking for our premium weather data then we would be able to negotiate a price which satisfies your needs and wallet!

Regards,
Andrew,
World Weather online
Now that being posted, it is already old news.
Here is the latest e-mail:
For the past few weeks have been really exciting. Thanks for all the emails and suggestions, we have now made quite a lot of changes to our website and backend servers. Here is a synopsis of what has been going on:-

* We have now moved our whole system on to a brand new Core Dual Dedicated Servers. This upgrade has allowed us to expand and provide better service to our global users.

* Current weather conditions have now been added to the free weather and premium weather feed. This information is contained within the current_condition element.

* Free Weather API Usage Policy has been updated to cater for developers working on non-website platform like mobile, desktop app, etc. For more information visit http://www.worldweatheronline.com/free-weather-feed.aspx

* We have also launched our Worldwide 2.6 million+ city and town search facility and Premium Weather Content service. More information at http://www.worldweatheronline.com/premium-weather.aspx

* We now have our own dedicated Forum to keep the discussion going and so if you have any suggestions, bug reporting or feedback then please do post it there. http://www.worldweatheronline.com/forum

Nice!
Though... I don't seem to find a feed that I can parse from them... Or. You have to have an account to get the feed. Or else the api won't work. http://www.worldweatheronline.com/weather-api.aspx

So... That's a downside. :/
I don't think, therefore I'm not.

Unfortunately that is all true

also unfortunate is that this is the way a lot of this weather stuff is going. :(

Sorry if this was already mentioned, I didn't see it in the list. Has anyone checked HamWeather out?
http://www.hamweather.com/rss/index.php

I didn't look that hard, but all I found concerning usage is on that page...
"Note that the RSS feeds are for personal use. HAMweather, LLC reserves the right to alter or eliminate access to the feeds with out notice."

The feed contains more info than Yahoo, but I don't know how regular the updates are, or how well the international end of it works. I only checked a few places here in MI, and everything seemed good.

BBC Weather provides free RSS feeds, but I don't really know how good the coverage is outside of the UK :(
Visiting hours are 9 to 5, and if I show up at 10 past 6
Well, I already know that you'd find some way to sneak me in and oh
Mind the empty bottle with the holes along the bottom
You see it's too much to ask for and I am not the doctor

you can parse that if you are in UK
Zero at programing, zero at writing codes, so far 2 at making images
But I'm good at copy/paste, and I not always like this
