Re: FileView plugin 1.0.4

Brian wrote:If you don't already, pin Notepad, Paint, Calculator, Windows PowerShell, or any of these type of programs to the Start Menu (If you're running Windows Vista or Windows 7), then refresh Rainmeter. You should see that in the "Pinned Apps" toolbar the shortcuts for these programs dont display a proper icon. But when you refresh the toolbar again (Right click), they will display properly, and continue to display properly until you close and start Rainmeter again.
The problem might be because you have "Update=-1". I think the same thing that I described in this post.

Basically, the plugin hasn't finished saving all the icons before you updated all your meters, and since your skin doesn't update on its own, Rainmeter never loads the "new" icons.

Just to let everyone know, there will be some changes in the next release version of this plugin. Indexing will no longer be zero-based, but one-based to match indexing from other measures (like Webparser). So, you will need to increase your index number by 1 after the change.

For example, a measure that looks like this:
[ChildMeasure1]
Measure=Plugin
Plugin=FileView
Path=[Parent]
Index=0
Will now need to be changed to this:
[ChildMeasure1]
Measure=Plugin
Plugin=FileView
Path=[Parent]
Index=1

Ill have to get use to that. Ive spent months getting use to the 0-19 = 1-20 rule.

Brian, what is FileView's reputation with 32-bit? I can't get it to work on my broke-ass Windows 7 32-bit netbook. Displays 0.0.

Should be fine on a 32-bit system. Are you sure you are using the 32-bit version of the plugin?

Great to hear! Is the included version the 1, 2, 3 version or the 0, 1, 2 version?

It is the 1.1 latest version, which will be updated as needed in the context of the Rainmeter build going forward. It uses "one-based" indexing, so 1, 2, 3.
