Comparing to 4.2 r3111, having no acceleration turned on 4.3 r3237 slows down some (or all?) actions. Take a look at the comparison. Watch how the labels appear (by changing alpha) on the mouse over action:

The lag can be obviously seen.
Hm.. There is certainly a difference with hardware acceleration on vs. off.
I think this is related to the other issues swirling around certain GPU chips, particularly the Intel HD 630 integrated graphics ship when hardware acceleration is turned on.

We are digging into it...
In looking at that a bit closer, I see pretty much the same "lag" in 4.2 as I do in 4.3 w/o HWA...
