[D2D] Very high usage of GPU on specific scenario

Post by soyelrafa »

Hello! I see a very high usage of GPU with hardware acceleration disabled in last beta:

Top 4.2 vs Bottom 4.3, last field is GPU usage.
4.2 vs 4.3.png
Skins installed:
Nexa, with its default layout loaded.
Lauhdutin last beta (3.1.0 beta 4), with the skin configured and loaded.

Hardware and software:
Rainmeter 4.3.0.3255 beta (64-bit)
Language: Spanish (3082)
Build time: 2018-10-09 6:26:39
Commit Hash: d7c6ad6e
Windows 10 Pro 1809 64-bit (build 17763) - Spanish (3082)
Path: E:\Rainmeter\
SkinPath: E:\Rainmeter\Skins\
SettingsPath: E:\Rainmeter\
IniFile: E:\Rainmeter\Rainmeter.ini

Nvidia GTX 1060 6 GB
When this happens:
I put the mouse on an image of a game on Lauhdutin skin, and the usage increases. If I start to move the mouse on several images in the skin, the GPU goes to that percetange. Sorry for the bad explanation, I have a gif that shows this:

Regards.

EDIT: seeing again the gif, I see a high usage of the CPU too, however seems not to be caused by Rainmeter directly, but I don't think it's a coincidence that goes that high too in that scenario.

Fun fact about this. If I enable hardware acceleration, CPU only goes to 20%, and GPU to 13%. Wouldn't be that the case with hardware aceleration disabled?

I thought that enabling hardware acceleration will increase the use of CPU and GPU, not the opposite...
