Announcing Outlook Plugin

Post by derari »

Hello,

since I couldn't find a plugin for MS Outlook, I started creating one. You can download the first test version along with some example skins here. For more information, please have a look at the project page.

I tested the plugin on Windows 7 64bit with Office 2007, but it should work on other Windowses and with Office 2003 and 2010 as well.

Feedback is highly appreciated.

I will update this post once a new version is available.

I need to use Outlook for work. Thanks for developing this! I threw together a quick skin just to make it fit in with my Gnometer setup. (I'm new to this as of today so if the coding is horrible or I've wronged someone by using their code sorry...)

Awesome plugin.

Hi!

found that post recently.
really cool and the first test skin part of the zip file give a cools view into the outlook.
Now I see some issues:

After a unspecified time, or when comining from 'hibernate' the skin does not show unread emails or anything, just each time following error message:
"The RPC-Server is not available. (Exception from HRESULT:0x800706BA)"

tried it on 2 different PCs.
1.: Desktop PC, Win7 Prof 64-Bit, Outlook 2007
2. Laptop, Win7 Enterprise 64-Bit, Outlook 2010

closing, restarting skin doesnt change anything.
could you pls come back on this?

Tested this yesterday, it works initially but then get's it's knickers in a twist cause .NET errors. Also fails after rebooting, which is a terrible shame as I use Outlook to monitor 2 gmail, one webmail and my ISPs accounts... O.O

Did you check on Google Code? http://code.google.com/p/rainmeter-outlook/downloads/list The RM skin there is from July 2011, so it might include a new(er) and improved version of the Outlook plugin.

There is also a contact email address available there.
