on the GMail feed

just a little piece of information:

the Gmail feed <fullcount> does not show the number of your unread emails. the number of your unread emails might be higher.

what the Gmail feed <fullcount> shows is the number of unread conversations/threads/whateveryouliketocallits.

Which one is the one that shows how many unread mail you have?

RegExp="(?siU)<fullcount>(.*)</fullcount>"

This should be what you're looking for.

As moshi said, that isn't how many unread messages you have, my actual inbox has 130, whilst the <fullcount> says 123!

So which one exactly is how many unread messages, cause I can't find anything!

There is no option in Gmail, that I'm aware of, to get the true count of unread, individual emails. There is only a method of counting Unread conversations. Basically, if you have a single email which neither you nor the sender have replied to then it is counted as 1 email. Similarly, if you have 1 conversation containing 5 unread email replies then it is also counted as 1 email.

Like I said, I'm not currently aware of any method to count the true, total amount of unread, individual emails. Only unread 'conversations'.

Anyone who has more than 10 unread emails in their inbox should have their computer taken away from them anyway... ;-)
