Hi,
I've been using Rainmeter for a while now both on XP and on Vista with no problems.
I recently upgraded my pc to Windows 7 and Rainmeter seems to have a problem with that.
I installed Rainmeter 2.0 32 bit and I get the Windows message attached when I try to open it.
The message says:
Rainmeter - A customizable Resource Meter has stopped working
A problem made the program stop working properly. Windows will close the program and let you know if there is a solution.
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing and the problem didn't go away...
Any tips?
Thanks

You are running the 32-bit version of Win 7 I take it, not the 64-bit?

Try removing %APPDATA%\Rainmeter\ and Documents\Rainmeter and then installing a fresh copy of the latest Rainmeter 2.1 beta.

64bit Rainmeter can't be installed on 32bit platforms.

Are their any underlying MS libraries Rainmeter requires which are not installed by default?

I was thinking of things like msvcr100.dll, however, are you having problems running anything else, is Windows fully patched, what virus checker are you using, is it causing the problem?

Windows is fully updated with Windows Update, I don't have any issues with other programs and I'm using ESET but I tried running Rainmeter with ESET turned off and the problem remains. Besides I've added exclusons for Rainmeter as it's indicated here:

Presume you have uninstalled, downloaded a fresh copy and tried again? Perhaps go with the Beta and see if that has no issues?
