Rainmeter Making my Core Temp Higher?
So I have a Alienware M15x (not m15x thats the older one)
I have great computer specs of course but after i installed rainmeter my temperatures go from 43c-58c to 51c-61c i know its low compaired to your computers but for my computer standards and what many alienware technicians i have talked to have sayed is that 50c-60c is a little high, not threatening but higher than what it should be. it should be 40c-50c
anyone elts have alienware that notices this? will it affect me in the long run?
what are you opinions?

Uhm... Thats not just a little high.... Im hoping you meant F and not C. 43C is 110 F and 60C is 140F. My computer's processor started failing at 140F and I had that temperature because of a faulty fan on the CPU. Check your fans and check for dust. I know it's a laptop and higher temperatures are norm, that and I don't use Intel (Which i hear as a higher TjMax) but still.
Now for your question if the above doesn't apply.
Rainmeter is probably not the culprit here...
There are quite a bit of variables that affect CPU Temperature. Programs running at 100% could overtax the cpu and make it run hotter. Dust could be another culprit, and rainmeter was installed at the time you actually noticed the temperature difference. It could have been this way for a while and you never noticed. CoreTemp could just be failing on your system. I know it doesn't work on my laptop as it goes from 79F to 140F in seconds and back down again.
So, the questions I will ask for are:
Have you looked at the CoreTemp documentation to make sure its compatible with your processor?
Have you tried to uninstall Rainmeter and then check your temperature with a variety of CPU temperature programs, and not just CoreTemp?
Have you been "Monitoring" the temperature daily, or do you only check it every now and then? If could be that it spiked up since you last checked it and it just happens to coincide with the installation of rainmeter. Coincidences happen...

here is a screenshot of my temperatures using CUPID Hardware Monitor (this was givin to me by a Alienware Tech Representative) This computer is only 4 weeks old and they said its normal to be at these temperatures but they sayed that it is above average if its at 50-60 and its overheating when it gets above 65.
i just got a new fan a few days ago because the first fan did not work. my computer itself is in great condition. and i turn off rainmeter and the temps go back down to normal, unless im playing a game but they also sayed thats normal. but i dont know why rainmeter is making it go above average?
would you like to know my computer specs?

Using any anti-virus? Make Rainmeter an exception.
I have Norton 360 BTW
Edit: so i tried running rainmeter clean and the temps dropped so i then opened up just enigma and the temperatures stayed normal. maybe its just the skin i have on? i can take a screenshot of my desktop also. if you want.

Start adding skins til the temperature goes higher.
I have three rules when I'm trying to help you.
- Don't get mad when you don't understand something
- Be VERY specific with what you ask for.
The more specific you are, the higher the quality of support you receive. - Do not just copy and paste what I put in examples and come back saying it doesn't work.
It does work, but I purposely left blanks that you need to fill for your specific needs.

ok so im using the interface v0.2 now and using just that my temperatures get kind of higher but not as high as the other one. its around 48c-54c
