Rainmeter freezes immediately every time.

I've had this problem for a while now, I tried both 1.2 32 bit, 64 bit and 1.3 RC1 R554 64 bit, but non of them worked.
1.2 Freezes on almost every click, and 1.3 simply freezes already 2 seconds after the skin has been loaded...

System specs:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit
AMD Phenom II x3 720 Black Edition (OC'ed at 3,4 Ghz)
4 Gb of Ram
Asus EAH4870 512 MB (=ATI HD4870)
Skin used: Pog Pack (http://jkon00.deviantart.com/art/Pog-Pack-160237591), but even the default skin(s) crashes.
Anti Virus (Internet Security): Eset Smart Security 4.2.35.0

You may want to have a look at this http://rainmeter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3616 it may not be totally relevant as i don't know how Smart Security does its scanning but it is worth a try.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot, Smart Security isn't much more than an expended version of Nod32 Anti-Virus combined with a new interface.
Also what I forgot to notice earlier is that I also tried launching it as administrator and in compatibility mode (Vista, Vista SP1 & 2), which of course didn't work, else I wouldn't be here.

Edit:

Tried it and it worked Didn't expect the problem to be there... Now onto customizing and making the parts of the app function with my settings.
