Can't drag and drop into programs launched through rainmeter

When I open up a program like chrome, or paint.net through a launcher, I can't drag/drop files into it. E.g. Uploading files into drag and drop upload boxes on chrome, or dragging an image to add as a new layer on paint.net. I've used Omnimo10 and a Hollow Knight launcher skin, and neither work. When launching these programs from the Start Menu, it works fine. I'm not sure what the issue might be, so any help is appreciated.
