Re: Rainmeter won't run

I'm just guessing wildly here, but the problem looks like an nVidia driver issue, not something Rainmeter-related specifically. I'd suggest updating your video card graphics driver. Otherwise, navigate to your C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Rainmeter folder and edit the Rainmeter.ini file and change the line HardwareAcceleration=1 to HardwareAcceleration=0. Then cross your fingers and relaunch Rainmeter and see if it works....

Sadly that didn't work, updating the GPU drivers didn't fix it, setting the GPU in Windows' stupid Graphic Specifications didn't fix it, updating Windows didn't fix it and neither jsmorley's guide of deleting everything Rainmeter and then installing again

Oh well, I have another thing, I eventually fixed the problem, the signature for the problem was

Code: Select all

Problem signature:
P1: Rainmeter.exe
P2: 4.4.0.3452
P3: 60ab71a0
P4: Rainmeter.dll
P5: 4.4.0.3452
P6: 60ab719e
P7: c0000005
P8: 0000000000059a36
P9:
P10:
and the fix is strange, deleting rainmeter.ini still made the app crash, but renaming the file to something else and letting Windows create a new rainmeter.ini file fixed the issue

I'm posting here for the devs to either investigate or for any person searching the error codes
