Help installing skins

Post by vswindell »

I've installed Rainmeter...but when it starts
I get this error saying
There are no available skins at <location>

and there shouldn't be...

When I try to install any skins...it just hangs (looks like it's installing ..but isnt...will run for hours)

I've downloaded all the skins from rainmeter
there shouldn't be any skins there (my onedrive directory) ...I've even created that directory to see if it would help

I've just un-installed rainmeter...and removed all references in the registry and then reinstalled
so now I'm getting the one installed.

But any attempt to install a new skin from rainmeter ...is still hanging...
I'm rebooting...to see if I still get the error.

Is there a setting where I can change skin location?

First check the location of the Skins folder. Right click the Rainmeter icon into the Notification Area and click Edit settings. A file containing the settings opens into the default text editor. Check the (probably) first variable within the [Rainmeter] section, SkinPath. Check if this indeed is the location of the Skins folder. Is it correct?
