rainmeter.exe and the skins are both where they should be. (There was an extra rainmeter folder in the rainmeter folder that contains my skins) I could not find my themes though. I don't seem to have the app folder.

Thanks again for all the help

Something is wrong with the install I suspect.

I recommend following this:

Ok, I'll give it a shot in the morning. I'm getting a little sleepy here. I'll follow the directions and post my results tomorrow.

Thanks

Your APPDATA folder might be hidden. Use "organize / folder and search options / view" and set it like this:

You're right. Appdata was hidden and I found it. My themes are in there. Can I do anything to them?

Well, no need to do anything with them directly. They are used with / by the RainThemes addon in your Start Menu under Rainmeter to save your current Rainmeter setup so you can easily get back to it.

But if Rainmeter can't write to Rainmeter.ini, you have a fatal problem we need to resolve before moving on to other things. If RainEnv never "enables" the "Analyze" button, then there is something wrong with your installation that we need to figure out.

Absolutely. Try right clicking the installer and "Run as Administrator" just for grins when you do it.

RainEnv should look something like this:

If anything other than "Fonts" is grayed out, there is an issue..

Go get some sleep. We can hassle though this tomorrow. I'm hitting it myself.
