Thanks, I ran through the steps... Rainmeter works fine after complete reinstall of latest beta clean. once I added in Gadgets 4.0.0 it crashed and won't start... so looks like it's latest version of gadget causing it. I posted a comment to their download site.

OK, I replied on the Gadgets DA site. I'm the author of the Gadgets. A bunch of very clever folks are the Rainmeter wizards... I just lurk here annoying the devs.kring wrote:Lol, just realized it's you that does both! doh

What skins do you use for gadgets, that may help us narrow down the cause culprit and what you might be able to do.

The gadgets he is referring to are my Gadgets suite. He used JSMorley's handy instructions to find the error, and it is due to the latest beta version of HWiNFO. Rolling his HWiNFO back to the released version fixed his problem. Sounds like an incompatibility with the HWiNFO plugin or something. Anyway... problem solved (for now).tjhrulz wrote:What skins do you use for gadgets, that may help us narrow down the cause culprit and what you might be able to do.

Re: Updated BIOS, Rainmeter r3029 Crashes
I think it is more likely the issue is that he is using an outdated version of the HWiNFO plugin, rather than a beta version of the HWiNFO application. I just installed the latest HWiNFO beta version of the application, and it seems to work fine with my skins.SilverAzide wrote:The gadgets he is referring to are my Gadgets suite. The latest version of my suite includes the latest HWiNFO plugin (3.2.0), AFAIK. Unless I screwed up someplace and packaged the wrong version....
