I've been having an issue installing skins. I have used rainmeter before and it has worked. I uninstalled some skins, and while trying to reinstall them I came across this error. Although I installed rainmeter to use the location C:\Program Files\Rainmeter, Skin Installer creates a new user where it tries to install the skins.
Instead of going C:\Users\myusername\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\......\.gitattribute it installs under C:\Users\newunregistereduser\Documents....
Anyone know how to fix this? I want all of the skin data in the Program Files, and to prevent the Skin Installer from hitting a fatal error.

Re: Error installing skins - installing to different user
Open Rainmeter, click on Open Log, Version
It should have the skin path in there like this C:\Users\<Your username>\Documents\Skins\
If it has the wrong user name in there I would suggest uninstalling Rainmeter and reinstalling it.
If it has the correct path it might be the skin. You can always use a zip program to extract the skin to the correct location
